Description
About GHK-Cu
GHK-Cu (Copper peptide GHK) is a naturally occurring copper complex of the tripeptide glycyl-l-histidyl-l-lysine. It is found in human plasma, saliva, and urine, and has a molecular formula of C14H23CuN6O4 with a molecular weight of 340.84 g/mol.
GHK-Cu is widely studied in vitro and in preclinical models for its interactions with extracellular matrix components, copper-dependent enzyme systems, and gene expression regulation. Research has examined its effects on collagen and glycosaminoglycan synthesis in cell culture models, as well as its copper-chaperone properties. It is one of the most researched copper-binding peptides in biochemical literature.
