About Sermorelin
Sermorelin (GHRH 1-29 NH₂) is a synthetic 29-amino acid peptide corresponding to the biologically active N-terminal fragment of endogenous growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). It has a molecular formula of C149H246N44O42S and a molecular weight of 3357.93 g/mol.
Sermorelin is used in in vitro preclinical research as a reference standard for GHRH receptor pharmacology. Studies have characterised its receptor binding kinetics at the GHRHR and its downstream cAMP-mediated signalling in somatotroph cell models. As the native GHRH(1–29) sequence, it is frequently used as a comparator for modified GHRH analogues such as Mod GRF 1-29 and CJC-1295 with DAC.
